We occasionally hear from customers wondering if our bar soaps can be used as laundry detergent. While natural soap can technically be grated and dissolved in water, we don’t recommend using our soaps in washing machines.

Our bar soaps are formulated for skin, not fabric. The nourishing oils and natural glycerin that make them moisturizing for your body can also leave residue on clothing or inside washing machines over time.

Using bar soap for laundry may lead to buildup, reduced cleaning performance, or maintenance issues with your washer.

Our recommendation

For clean, long-lasting clothing, we suggest using laundry products specifically designed for fabric care and washing machines.
